Obituary

Amy G. Baker passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at her home in Woodbridge. She was 89 years old.

Born in Rahway, she was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge.

Miss Baker received her Bacholer's degree from Syracuse University and her Masters degree in education from Rutgers University. She was employed by the Woodbridge Township Board of Education as an elementary school teacher at School 14 in Fords for nearly 40 years until her retirement.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Woodbridge for over 70 years and was a life member of both the New Jersey Education Association and the National Teacher's Association. Amy also belonged to the Historical Society of Woodbridge, was on the Reunion Committee of the Woodbridge Township Retired Teachers Association and was certified in Braille by the Library of Congress.

Miss Baker was predeceased by her parents, George and Caroline Baker; and a nephew, Robert B. Wyatt.

Surviving are her loving twin sister, Barbara Wyatt; beloved niece, Margaret Wyatt-Willoughby; great nieces, Christine Caldwell and Susan Wyatt King; great nephews, Lucas and Peter Willoughby; great grandnieces, Kaitlyn and Abigail; and many cousins and friends.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, May 25, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. A Funeral service will take place on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY.
