Amelia H. Volkel passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Brandywine Assisted Living in Bridgewater. She was 91 years old.

Born in the Honeypot section of Nanticoke, PA, she resided in the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township and Lakeland, FL for many years.

Mrs. Volkel was a former communicant of Saint John Vianney Catholic Church in Colonia and Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Lakeland, FL.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred O. Volkel, in 2007.

Surviving are her children, Kathleen Reich of Stockton, Patricia Smith of Colonia and Alfred Volkel of Avenel; grandchildren, Gary, Jason, Elizabeth, Matthew, Holli, Christopher and Harlan; and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 10:45 a.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. Interment will follow in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday morning beginning at 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
