Allen A. Egri passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 77 years old.

Born in Perth Amboy on July 7, 1947 to the late Elizabeth and Alexander Egri, he has resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township for 55 years.

Mr. Egri was a graduate of Lincoln Tech and was employed as facility manager with Merck and Company in Rahway and then with Sodexo, Inc. in the same capacity for many years; and was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel.

He was an avid boater and a New York Jet season ticket holder for many years.

Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years, Rosanne Andriola Egri; children, Melissa Egri of Avenel, Christopher Egri and his wife, Diane, of Woodbridge and Janine Lurie and her husband, Victor, of Clark; grandchildren, Amanda and her husband, Alberto, Nicholas, Anthony and his fiancé, Sadie, Joey and his wife, Marie, Candice and her husband, Zack, Brianna and her husband, Colin, Francesca, Arianna and Alex; and beloved great grandsons, Alex, Christian and Zachary.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Funeral services will begin on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed at 9:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Andrew's Catholic Church, Avenel. Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org) in Mr. Egri's memory would be greatly appreciated by his family.
