Alice Helen Vernachio (née Kozmata) of Woodbridge passed away peacefully at Parker at Monroe on Monday, February 24, 2025. She was 96 years old.

Born in Piscataway, NJ; She resided in Woodbridge since 1970.

Alice loved to travel, visiting places from California to Europe.

She could be found outside caring for her garden or sitting on her front porch enjoying the sunshine.

She was a Communicant of St. James R.C. Church in Woodbridge.

Mrs. Vernachio was a Graduate of Perth Amboy High School and The Charles E. Gregory Nursing School and was employed as a Registered Nurse at Perth Amboy General Hospital.

She was predeceased by her husband Orlando Vernachio who passed away in 2017; her parents Joseph M. and Helen Karnay Kozmata; and her brothers Joseph, Daniel, Frank Kozmata.

She is survived by two daughters Donna Martel and her husband Thomas of St. George Utah and Lori Vernachio Greiza and her husband Robert of Sewaren;  3 Grandchildren Carissa, Bryce, and Alexander; 4 great-grandchildren Andrew, Charlotte, Hayden, Maverick
