Alfred Orescovich of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset. He was 84 years old. Born in Fuma, Italy; He resided in Avenel for the past 62 years. Mr. Orescovich was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a welder employed at Ford Motor Company in Metuchen, Montrose Chemical in Newark, and G.A.F. in Linden retiring in 1991. He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Mary Orescovich; two sisters Amalia and Mary Orescovich; and a brother Mirco Orescovich. He is survived by his wife Antoinette; a daughter Christina of Little Silver; three sons Robert of Connecticut, Alfred M. of Avenel, and Edward of Tampa, Florida; two grandchildren Christopher and Amanda. The family will receive family and friends on Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (www.Costello-koyen.com) 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A committal service will take place Saturday morning 9:30 a.m. at St. Gertrude's Cemetery 53 Inman Avenue, Colonia.
