Alfred G. Elliott passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015 at JFK Hartwyck at Oak Tree Nursing Center in Edison. He was 84 years old. Born in Elizabeth, he was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge. Mr. Elliott was a United States Coast Guard Veteran. He was employed with Verizon Communications, retiring as a Test Desk Technician in 1992 after 40 years of service; and was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge. He was predceased by a granddaughter Caitlyn Brown, in 2008. Surviving is his wife of 61 years Dolores Komar Elliott; ten children, Susan Elliott, Michelle Robinson, A. Scott Elliott and Chrisopher Elliott all of New Jersey, George Elliott, Father Zachary Elliott, O.F.M. and Charles Elliott, all of Florida, Francine Nelson of Massachusetts, Mary-Lou Elliott of England and Amanda Elliott of Italy; a sister, Barbara Elliott of Fords; and fifteen grandchildren. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www.costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 9:00 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
