Alexis Nicole Cassino passed away peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2024 at her home, in the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township surrounded by her loving family. She was 21 years old.

Born in Edison on January 31, 2003, she resided in Sewaren before moving to Colonia in 2010.

Alexis was a student at E.C.L.C. in Chatham where the amazing staff took such incredible care of Alexis.  It was her favorite place to be.

She was a member of the Young Life Capernaum Club and Kenilworth Special Friends; participated in Woodbridge Buddy Ball; High Expectations and Project Unified.  She was part of the Exceptional Dance Team at Ms. Joy's Dance House in Fords.

She spent countless hours with her BFF Alyssa…getting their nails done, drinking DD refreshers, traveling, face-timing and living their best life. When at home she could be found on the couch watching tik tok, playing on her ipad, while watching TV and hanging with her golden doodle, Buddy, whom she loved very much.

Alexis was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Bernice and Thomas Cassino; and maternal grandfather, Joseph Wisniewski.

Surviving are her parents, Lynn (Wisniewski) and Chris Cassino; brothers, Christopher and Lucas; maternal grandmother, Joan Wisniewski, of Port Reading; and many aunts, uncles, cousins including "the girls" Laina, Ellie and Blake who held a special place in her heart.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 11:00 a.m. at Saint John Vianney Catholic Church, Colonia. Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to ECLC in Alexis' memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
