Albert (Al) Piperi passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 62 years old.

Born in Rahway, he has resided in Woodbridge Township for a majority of his life.

Al was previously employed as an automobile mechanic; and was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel.

Al was an avid chef and enjoyed using his mechanical abilities to help others.

Al was predeceased by his parents, John and Dorothy Piperi; sister, Louise Watters; and brother, John Piperi.

Surviving is his son, Brian Piperi, and spouse Jennie Piperi of Metuchen; daughter, Melanie Piperi and spouse Patrick Brown, of North Brunswick; brothers, Anthony of Woodbridge, Richard of Vernon, NY and Donald of Port Reading, and partner Alison Kovach and brother-in-law Thomas Watters of Woodbridge;  grandchildren, Alyssa, Sean, Amber and Kyle; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel. Interment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation for family and close friends will be on Monday morning beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions to Make a Wish Foundation in Mr. Piperi's memory would be greatly appreciated by his family.
