Albert P. Cursi, Jr. passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021 at Alaris Health at Riverton Nursing Center in Rahway. He was 92 years old.

Born on September 24, 1929 in Avenel to the late Geraldine and Albert Cursi, Sr., he was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge Township.

Mr. Cursi was self-employed as a general contractor prior to his retirement; and served in the United States National Guard. He enjoyed hunting, bowling and spending time with his family.

He was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel where he served as an usher; belonged to Saint Andrew Council 5088, Knights of Columbus, Avenel, where he served as Grand Knight and District Warden; belonged to Reverend John J. Griffith General Assembly; and was a charter member of Avenel-Colonia First Aid Squad.

In addition to his parents, Albert was predeceased by his sisters, Marian Cursi and Mary Cornacchia; and brothers, Frank Cursi and Salvatore Cursi.

Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Marie Vagueiro; son, Anthony Cursi and his wife, Donna, of Spotswood; sister, Jean Fedison and her husband Stan of Woodcliff Lakes; grandchildren, Audra Marie Onofrietti and her husband, Marc, and T.J. Cursi and his husband, Jesse Farmer; and great grandchildren, Matteo, Olivianna and Arabella.

Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church. Interment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
