Agnes Kwasnieski of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital at Rahway. She was 86 years old. Born in Minersville, PA; She resided in Avenel for the past 65 years. Agnes was a Communicant of St. Andrew's R.C. Church in Avenel; for many years she was a loving and caring foster mother to fourteen children. Mrs. Kwasnieski was employed as a Bookkeeper with Singer Sewing Machine Co. in Elizabeth. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Mary Srezerba Blash; a sister Josephine Pleva; three Brothers Francis Blash, Edward Blash, and Anthony Blash. Surviving are her husband of 66 years Henry M. Kwasnieski; a daughter Marianne Horta and her husband Paul of Avenel; two sons Henry E .Kwasnieski and his wife Maria of Flemington, and Edward Kwasnieski and his wife Michelle of South Carolina; a brother Joseph Blash of Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren Andrew, Bernadette, Christie Ann, Andrea, A.J., Joshua, Joel, and Jacob; four great-grandchildren Sophia, Lucas, Christian, and Nicholas. Funeral will take place Wednesday, September 24, 2014 9:00 a.m. from Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel, NJ 07001. A 9:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will take place at St. Andrew's R.C. Church. Entombment will be in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
